Few people are willing to contest the fact that President Barack Hussein Obama has shown profound incompetence when it comes to his Commander in Chief role of leading our military. Obama’s arrogance and foolishness on the battleground has left countless military leaders feeling deeply disrespected.
Army General Ray Odierno is one of those slighted military leaders, and right before resigning he decided to open up and expose to the world just how shockingly incompetent Obama really has been.
General Odierno, who spent in the military for 29 years and served for four years as a General in Iraq, was deeply angered by Obama’s hasty move to exit from the region in 2010, which ended up crippling our efforts in the middle east and hastened the rise of ISIS.
Stated the General, “It’s frustrating to watch it. I go back to the work we did in 2007, 2008, 2009 and 2010 and we got it to a place that was really good. Violence was low, the economy was growing, politics looked like it was heading in the right direction. I think it would have been good for us to stay.”
Odierno pleaded with Obama to leave 30,000 to 35,000 U.S. personnel on the ground in Iraq, but Obama ignored him. Said Odierno, “If we had stayed a little more engaged, I think maybe it might have been prevented. I’ve always believed the United States played the role of honest broker between all the groups and when we pulled ourselves out, we lost that role.” Are you happy that the top commander in Iraq finally spoke out?
